Second Violins
Jovana was born in Paraćin, Serbia. In 2002, she completed her high school studies at Secondary School of Music in Cuprija with Professor Ljiljana Rankovic. In that same year, she began her studies at Faculty of Music in Belgrade, from where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in violin with Professor Fern Raskovic, a student of David Oistrakh.
In 2001, Jovana won third place in the International Competition Petar Konjovic in Belgrade. She has also participated in the Republic Competition in 2002, when she won first place in the category Chamber Music (duo) – Violin and laureat. As a student, she received the award from Miodrag Macic Foundation in 2005 and from Meri Dragutinovic Foundation in 2008. She also participated in the Exploring Mozart classes in Austria Barock Akademie in the town of Gmunden, 2006.
Jovana taught violin at Music School Dr. Miloje Milojevic in the city of Kragujevac, also in her home country. In Belgrade, she was a member of RTS Symphony Orchestra and of Dusan Skovran and St. George Strings chamber orchestras.
