Second Violins
Luka was born in Belgrade, Serbia, where he studied violin at the Primary and Secondary Music School Kosta Manojlovic, with Professor Sanda Dramicanin in Zemun. In his country, he won first place in the Republic Competition of Chamber Duos in 2002 and was awarded the Vojislav Vuckovic competition in 2002 and 2003, years in which he was also awarded in the Smederevski Dani competition.
In 2003 he was admitted to the Music School of the University of Belgrade (Fakultet Muzicke Umetnosti) in Professor Jasna Maksimovic’s, where he graduated and obtained in 2011 a Master’s degree. He has participated in masterclasses with Igor Ozim, Jasna Maksimovic and Vadim Gluzman.
He has served as a soloist and orchestra member of the folk group Frula, in presentations in the United States, Germany and Cyprus. He has also played with the Berliner Jugendorchestra in Belgrade as one of the Serbian guests. Before moving to Brazil, Luka was a member of the string quartet Kalian-lu from 2004 to 2006.
