Trombones
Renato began his musical studies in the band of his town, Paula Cândido, interior of Minas Gerais. He obtained his Master’s degree in Music Performance from Minas Gerais Federal University (UFMG), where he also graduated in Trombone. He’s also an academic specialist in Brazilian Music graduated from Minas Gerais State University (UEMG). Renato is a member of the brass quintet Itaratã and of the trombone quartet Trombominas, groups with which he received awards at the Young Chamber Musician contest.
Winner of the Young Soloists contest at UFMG’s Music School, Renato was a soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Band of this university. With Itaratã, he lectured on the 23rd Londrina Music Festival, in the state of Paraná. Currently, besides his work with the Minas Gerais Philharmonic, Renato is a professor at the Music School of UEMG.
